@tech4156 Hey I am just saying, some things require software. It is normally for me never just as easy as using a USB cable (since half the machines I am getting data from have a faulty mobo in which case I just take the HDD out and then attach it to the new machine I am setting up (or to my clinic machine) with a caddy and transfer that way. Windows Data Transfer is.. wild in its own sense.
Personally I never needed a cable being a Mac user it transfers for me.

@Parmazano no YOU miss the point, unless its one connection to another (sata to ide) then what are you on about?? i have transferred thousands of times with just a usb cable and nothing else for customers and im an IT engineer over 10 years and highest level of qualifications. If you want to argue please state an example so i can put you right.

@tech4156 No you miss the point. Plug and play is fine if you are installing drivers, but software MAY be needed to run a data transfer program.
It is all dependent on what transfer cable they are using. I know we have some we sell where I work which has a disc inside just for the pure purpose of being able to transfer. Personally I just prefer a External HDD. Sure sometimes software comes on it you need to install like WD Smart ware but you can just format the drive.

arggg, this be bullshit. I could do ye task faster than these fucking nerds can. Professional bullshit more like it. A simple LAN network would take about 1 minute to set up. What a fucking stupid product, it's essentially an ethernet cord. What a fat fuck, too. beeep boooop beeppeep. banana

That guys a moron. 30-40 minutes to load driver software for a cable? There isn't much that takes that long to do on a computer if you know what you are doing...
