Furthermore, the sentence "Gay men find her more attractive than I" is grammatically incorrect. If the pronoun "I" were like the pronoun "it" or any English noun, and lacked separate nominative and accusative cases, your sentence would properly be interpreted the way I pretended to do (and you though I was actually doing). As it is, it's equally incorrect for either sentiment; you should have the word "do" after "I".
