@mmapp80 Because you are inside of a dark tunnel with little to no light and also inside of a cave. It wouldn't be realistic to have it like daylight.

damn this is sooo dark... i bought this game but havent played it past the first few rats, i havent had the motivation to play it, plus i was hoping it wasnt like the 3rd one and more like fallout 3 i was wrong :(
im trying to decide to play this or mass effect, havent played it either sitting on my shelf with other games i have :/

Draevan, the greatest thing about Oblivion is that you can mix and match your character. I know a Breton warrior may not be as good as an orc warrior, or an orc mage may not be as good as a breton mage, but in the end, you can play how you want, it doesnt matter if you have to heal a bit more, your playing how you want to play
