  • These ad hominem attacks over what should be intellectual discussions of historical accuracy and musicianship are too characteristic of us organists (if not also somewhat humorous). I've been to concerts when, between songs, registration takes much longer than what Fox did. At least give benefit of the doubt, as Durufle and Fox could be on very very different organs.

Is that organ on which Durufle played not the same one of the French Romantic period of the 19th century? I could be wrong.

  • which Organ is this?

  • Just remember that it was Virgil Fox who turned many folks on the organ who normally wouldn't have been. Who can you say does that today??? Mr. Fox had technique that is to this day unrivaled!

  • Whatever you say - after all - you know everything.

  • This is a great performance, and so is the toccata. So piffledink to those who don't think so :-)

  • Don't you know? Organists are famed for making trouble, its a form of learning.

You have no idea what your talking about.

  • You twits will be the end of the organ. You are spiteful, and petty stereotypes. Your hatefulness only makes other people hate you and by association the instrument you supposedly love so much.

  • cefran1, you are a prehistoric cretin.

  • advisorC101 you are a sick pup.

  • Is this good music? I am not sure it is.
