Nan's doing the old shtick but because the original band is gone - she's got a bunch of stiffs behind her - the original lineup was one big sight gag - everyone was moving an animated - I don't know what happened but after that windsong release - a disaster of over production - it was all on Nan at this point - bad call -
@myboyalfredo - sorry myboy maybe I was too harsh but the original line up was a very special time and place. All I felt was sad when I saw this new version come around in the 80's - no offense but without Tony and Courtney vamping with Nan - well it just wasn't the same...good on you getting this video up and for being a fan...
@JourneyHome Not too harsh just a heartfelt opinion. I only wish I had a video recorder in the really early days! I must have seen the original line-up 4 or 5 times at J&Ps and that was when, like many others , I got hooked(their version of "My boy Alfredo' is the BEST!). And you are right it was a different experience. I loved 'em both.
Great Tune written by Fran smith Jr.. brings back so MANY Memories back in the day when I worked with the Band... Bobby B, Fran Smith and Myself go back to 1973....Penny Lane club, Berlin, New Jersey-USA.........Glad some one taped this, despite the bad audio.............
Yep I taped it and will not apologize for the audio ; ) Dude it was 1982, I had a consumer RCA VHS portable (10 lbs. at least !!! 2 units) and I was standing next to a speaker (my ear still rings...no lie) and faceing the band amps. I'm amazed it didn't distort all the way to hell and back. Most of the time there wasn't too much light either and that old beast needed a goodly amount of light to even pickup an image .
But it was all worth it. Thankfully Chris allowed me to tape.
