I've never understood why Noel was not the all-time drummer for Split Enz. He is, clearly, a competent drummer as well as being one of the original members of Split Enz. Did he choose to take a role outside of the primary focus? I just don't get it...

Spilt Enz got back together? Cool, I would loved to have seen that. I saw them in '82 in, what was then, a pretty small town in Canada. Great show, it far exceeded my expectations. Been a Finn fan ever since. (Neil and Tim)

@jimlisi1 I think your being silly too. I think if you think of the "current Crop" you are thinking of barely scratching the surface. The amount of bands today compared to any of the artists eras is staggering. To think that someone could not learn from Elvis Costello, Neil Finn or anyone else....to think there will not be another major artist from here until god knows when is the silly part.

There will not be another main huge star like Elvis...is only because of the numbers of competitors now

i could listen to Neil's voice forever, and i hope i can in eternity. his voice and lyrics touch my very soul. my only wish is to meet him someday to say thanks for the music. he is truly amazing!

Silly, perhaps, but ignorant? All one has to do is listen to the curent crop of musicians. Yes, there are some really good ones out there. But Nigelxman, will there ever be another Elvis, Sinatra, Beatles, or Enz? No way. I just feel it's the end of an era. I'm a sentimentalist at heart, so I understand your observation... This song is still high in the TOP 2000 we have in the Netherlands every year around christmas.

I think it's a timeless song and very good performed.
