Nighttime video installation at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art in San Jose, California, January-March 2009. Twin screens project onto and through the glass into the street. "Observatory" is a video piece that utilizes video "snow" that is actually sky noise, undifferentiated energy from the stars, radiation and radio waves that fall onto the earth. Sounds that are heard are a mix of street noise and the sounds collected from radio telescopes, satellites and other sources.
