I haven't seen any of those. I don't think they are in the U.S. yet. Is there a definite purpose for having unequal lenghts? My first thought is, wouldn't you also have to buy a special case to carry it in?

It's mostly a matter of personal preference. I know a lot of players who play pool with a snooker cue.

is there a difference between pool cues and snooker cues?

Yes, snooker cues are usually a couple of inches longer, they are usually lighter in weight, and they usually have slender shafts with small diameter itps.
