  • You got it wrong. I have performed over 3000 laparoscopic surgeries so for in the past 16 years. We only started doing laparosocopic surgery for cancer for about 2 years and that is the reason why we have performed about now 20 cases of laparosocpic surgery for cancer in women. I perform about 15 cases of laparoscopic surgery for noncancer cases every week

  • Is this performed only through tiny hole ? No big incesion ?

  • @Telepcanin

Yes, only 4 or 5 small incisions. This is a big surgery and can take between 3 to 5 hours.

I am a laparoscopic surgeon specializing in infertility. I have been performing laparoscopic surgery for 15 yrs. I am not a gynaecological oncologic surgeon but I operate these cases with a gynae oncologic surgeon so we share our experiences. We have already performed about 15 cases so far.

  • Great dissection, I was looking forward to meeting you at Manipal in Dec.

I noticed you didn't use any clips, do you experience any lymph leak or collection at all post op?

  • Thanks for your comment. I missed the Manipal meeting because of another commitment. Pratap Kumar is a good friend of mine. I do not use clips for my lymphadenectomy just diathemy of all lymphathic channels. I have not experienced any collection of lymphatics. I was at the AAGL in Washington in Nov 2007 and I learned that using harmonics to seal lymphatics causes minimal lymph leak. I have started using harmonics for my lymph node dissection now.

  • That must require huge amount of skill , i suppose u are the one doing this ? are u oncology surgeon and long did it take you to become one ?
