  • And aren't you glad Japan invented instant noodles? Nobody gives a shit. Go be a flag-waving redneck somewhere else.

  • @gtgene Glad to help out :)

  • @Shoknifeman Sorry for the late reply. It's interesting to get the inside story on how this happened. Thanks for this info,it makes sense now.

  • @gtgene What happened was, after the Japanese producers saw what Fred Ladd did to add words to the theme song, they liked the result so much that they decided to get a children's chorus and put words to it also...I got this info first hand from Fred Ladd himself

  • @blind51de that didn't happen lulz

  • @fromthesidelines Thanks for that. I remember the American opening and I have seen two alternate Japanese opening themes on YouTube. for this 1960s show. I supposed they changed to the second one a season or two down.

  • This IS the original opening title, as seen on Japanese TV during most of 1963- and the one that Fred Ladd adapted into the "standard" American title, with English lyrics by Don Rockwell, performed by a children's chorus from Jamaica, Queens, New York. Tatsuo Takai's title music was also used {albeit slightly edited} in the American closing credits.

  • I kinda find this weird, but

how come at 1:06 whatever is written there, I saw it at the back of every Jap. Meiji chocolate boxes?

Does Meiji have anything to do w/ Asttroboy? Or vice-versa?
