Our used book buyer, Brad, reads the scene in Oliver Twist when Nancy is murdered, February 8, 2008. It was the birthday of Charles Dickens, and University Book Store celebrated with dramatic readings of his work by Brad.
Dickens was well-known for his own readings of his work. The murder of the character Nancy in Oliver Twist was added to his repertoire for his final tour of the U.S.
bloody brilliant, this is !!!
of course, the camera operator shd get 20 years hard labour, but Brad is brilliant ...

My advice is turn your sound up and just listen for about a minute and a half until the camera is a little more steady. Brad is a *fabulous* reader. I only wish UBkSt had a better space -- between the shoppers and the expresso machine, it's a little hard to hear.

I'm so glad I could find this by typing "brad" "nancy" and "murder" into the search engine. I am surprised, given the terrifying camerawork, that I didn't stumble upon the Cloverfield monster. To others viewing this--I suggest you sing "As Long as He Needs Me" as Brad reads. But when he does the cockney accents, hush yourself, for he do the police in different voices, he does.
