Went too slow and got stuck. Had to put away my pride and call a friend with a new Dodge Mega Cab to get me out.

  • its not all wheel drive first of all. it's not an ES model. only the highest trim level caravan came with all wheel drive.

  • Please see my other video called Family Fun in the AWD Caravan. You will see that it is indeed an all wheel drive van.

  • You could get the AWD in the lower models as well, not only the top model.

  • Hey rockband4367.

If you look closely at the beginning of the video, you can see the passenger front tire spinning faster than the rear passenger side. That would be a give away to the fact that its all wheel drive.

  • Thank you!

  • It's paved with some potholes and sand up until the actual beach access.

  • What sort of road is it? Like is there like rough patches or is it like just a normal off road er, road?

  • When at the park, simply follow the signs to the beach. It is 1 mile west from the campround. Just before you get to the parking lot, there will be two paved drives on the left. One of them has a sign that says "beach access". DO NOT attempt it if you don't have four wheel or all wheel drive you will not make it.

  • How do you get onto that spot where you got stuck? I read that its all campground and RV areas and whatnot. I'd like to do what you did but I don't know how to get ON the beach. Any help?

  • It's Ft. Stevens State Park near Astoria, Oregon. You can drive over 8 miles on the beach legally because in Oregon nearly all of the oceanfront is owned by the State- it will never be developed. The beach is nice in the summer (this video was taken in August) and brutal in the winter. Winds and rain galore.
