This baby musk ox probably 2weeks old ended up in CH2MHILLs yard up here in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. On the NORTH SLOPE The cow was killed by A Grizzly bear It was lost and turned around. A call to Anchorage Conservation Center witch thay called BP Security they contained it and put on a plan to anchoeage. The baby muskox is safe there and probably end up for life. I'm sure that the bear would have got the baby to. Happy ending for the musk ox :-))

  • @orocketman;

    Watching the clip mention above makes me think do musoxen these days know how to guard their calfs well? They should form the "ring" with horns pointing out and calfs in the middle but instead they start to run off rightaway when the bear stands up and leave their calfs behind... Might be grizzly is too big enemy. They can counter wolfpack with that "ring formation", thou, if they don't break the ring and dash off.

    Good that muskox calven have quick little feet :)
