If Bush stays out of Iran, I look for the dollar to rebound sharply the day he is gone just on the confidence that the US is not on the verge of doing something monumentally stupid to the world economy.

Don't expect the dollar to rebound any great deal based solely upon W's departure. The value of the dollar is depressed due to the massive borrowing to pay for the war in Iraq and tax cuts for the wealthy. Until they stop printing dollars like they're worthless slips of paper to pay interest on the debt, the value of the dollar will continue to fall.
