These are the demo's that were given at the launch presentation of the Pooky-project, realized in collaboration with UGent and IBBT.
Project website: http://pooky.sourceforge.net/
The Pooky project delivered alpha versions of two separate Mozilla Firefox extensions. Both of which are demonstrated in this video.
In short:
PookyTouch enables the use of Multi-Touch events in HTML (or XUL) pages in Mozilla Firefox. PookyTooth enables the use of bluetooth in webpages.
For more information, downloads and some hands-on Multi-Touch experience, please view our website at http://pooky.sourceforge.net/
This was great work, but the project seems very quiet now. Is it still being developed...?

The only requirement is that Java 1.5.12 must be installed. So yes, it'll work on every OS, not just Windows only.

Indrukwekkend.
Zal me toch eens zo een touchscreen moeten aanschaffen om dit uit te testen.

Yay another bloat added to firefox :p
lol no jk, it's a cool feature but I would've preferred to see this improving the things one regularly does on firefox (obviously excluding pr0n).
Also, a further improvement idea could be to implement the Wii sensobars and do multitouch goodyness on a huge beamer screen!!
see user jcl5m if you haven't already :)
keep developing!

Werkt het ook op alle platformen of is het een WIndows-only add-on (of een ander OS)?

Because it is a Mozilla Firefox Extension that makes everything you see work. The fact it works inside a web browser (Firefox), thus enabling the use of Multi-Touch in web pages, is what makes our project unique, and because it is based on a Firefox Extention, it only works inside Firefox...
