For this reason, Steps to Success, LLC has developed the Public Speaking and leadership Program. Among our program leaders, we have professionals with real-world expertise and proven track records in corporate leadership and training position in World Class Fortune 100 Corporations. Short biographical sketches are presented below.

Daniel A. Valdivia BSME, MBA, CTM
Mr. Valdivia credits the Steps to Success idea to his one-time timidness, a Product and Service Development Program he completed at Harvard Business School and the entrepreneurship and leadership principles he learned in the MBA program at the University of Miami . Valdivia says he spent about three years researching and developing the concept. Then, in May of 2003, he took a leap of faith and left Cordis Johnson & Johnson to launch Steps to Success.

Before becoming Director of Marketing at Steps to Success, Mr. Valdivia was an Associate Product Director and a Senior Engineer at Cordis Johnson & Johnson and Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceutical, respectively.

In addition to his product management, strategic marketing and business intelligence roles at Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Valdivia has trained over 200 sales representatives, both here in the USA and in Latin America. During his operations and engineering roles, Mr. Valdivia mentored several junior engineers who were later promoted to positions of higher responsibility. Additionally, Mr. Valdivia is currently mentoring MBA students at his alma mater the University of Miami.

Mr. Valdivia was the Chairman of the Marketing Committee of United Way Young Leaders Society 2003-2004. His efforts help this organization obtain funds for the "Success by Six Program". This United Way Program seeks to create a healthy, safe and caring environment for children age 0-6, with the purpose of providing them with the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.

His community involvement also includes the training of more than 100 third-grade students, who have benefited from learning work-related concepts and experiences under the umbrella of "Kids and the Power of Work" (KAPOW).

Mr. Valdivia is a Certified Competent Toastmaster (CTM) and holds a MBA and BSME degrees from the University of Miami and Farleigh Dickinson University, respectively.
