I purchased this tang just over 3 years ago when it was a yellow colored juvenile. I have watched this tang turn from yellow to blue, with a yellow tail. It has just finished turning his tail blue and has grown about 5 times its original size. This fish had recently became infected with ich so bad, you could literally see pits where the parasites had eaten his flesh away. He has made a remarkable recovery after being quarantined and his wounds are healing nicely (I've been soaking his algae in Vitamins A&C). He has always had the stripes. My other Atlantic Blue Tang only shows the stripes at night time (he's in the 400 gallon - I had to separate the two because of aggression). Some other fish include a Tomini Tang, Larmark Angelfish, Atlantic Pygmy Angelfish, pair of Seabay Clowns, pair of False Percula's, Anthais, Chalk Bass, Lawnmower Blenny, and a Blue Devil Damsel.
thats a very healthy and beautiful fish. i rescued a powder blue tang from my lfs he was very skinny his belly was sunk in but now he is on a diet of fresh ulva and red gracilaria and doing really well his belly is big and full and he is starting to gain weight anyways keep the vids comin
