This is the a ruined Protestant Church at Mount Trenchard, Foynes in County Limerick, Ireland. Built in 1811, some of the Barons Monteagle of Brandon (past local landlords) are buried here.

Also buried here is Conor O'Brien of Foynes Island, who was the first Irishman to single handed sail around the world.

  • @patrickirelandcorr Hi Patrick. Many thanks for the info. I have editing the description which is now entirely based on the text you supplied! I spotted this church whilst passing by and decided to just look around; having the correct history really does make a world of difference...
