i have a wattlebrush plant in my backyard , these birds always come even tamed them to eat of my hands and sit on it :)

The sugar in the fruit is very different to the processed sugar we use. So stop being ignorant before you write what you do not know about. Sugar and bread has caused many of our Rainbow lorikeets to get very sick and become flightless over time. SO STOP FEEDING THEM BREAD AND SUGAR!
Call WIRES and they will tell you the same thing. These birds have the trees to eat from.

@dinasaur2 ummm, in case you didnt know, sugar is a main part in fruit... my rainbow lorikeets eat bread and sugar all the time, they are perfectly healthy

They're wonderful birds.. now if only they would visit the yard outside our apartment.. it's tantalising because they're always in the neighbour's trees!

We didn't even expect them to go for the sugar like that.. there was a feeder for them nearby, with lorikeet mix in it.
