I think painkillers sounds right, that doesn't seem drunk. At least the early stages of drinking where people are more animated with lower inhibitions. That seems like effed up on too many pain meds.

I've seen an interview with him from 2011. He sounds completely coherent. I think Chuck has substance abuse issues, and they get caught on camera from time to time.
