Dave and I visited Key West in May 2010. One of the first things we did was go to the Fort East Martello Museum. Aside from the doll, the museum is very interesting and worth taking the time to explore.

did your camera act up, or did you ask robert permission to film him. from what I heard he can do things to make your camera act up if he doesn't wanna be filmed

The legend says that before you take a picture of Robert you must ask the doll politely, and if he does not agree (by tipping his head to one side) and the individual takes a picture anyway, then the doll will curse the person and their family

Honestly can't remember if I asked Robert's permission to take his picture or not.
We had no technical difficulties with the cameras. There is plenty of other interesting items to see in the museum along with Robert the Doll. Worth a visit!
