@nwele girl, i think serums are like taking a multivitamin. you get the delivery of potent ingredients in a light product. i always layer in the order i want stuff to work trying to keep the serum as close to the skin as possible. so usually retin-a or some treatment, then serum, then moisture
@pinkdes2ny my understanding is they impart potent ingredients in a lighter formula in order to penetrate the skin. they seem to be like a delivery system for skin nutrients, can be moisturizing, but not usually heavy duty. i'm a newbie too though
