A journey of extraordinary bravery and stupidity National Business Review 2001
This is the trailer for the original version of Te Radars February 2001 journey, when, armed only with a borrowed home video camera, a cameraman who was normally a Contiki tour bus guide, and a stolen TVNZ visitors pass, he set off to strife torn East Timor by driving across Australia.
Despite nearly drowning in the desert, his battles with over-zealous Australian law enforcement officers, and United Nations bureaucracy, he surprised many, (including himself), by reaching East Timor, where he was mugged by children.
The result is Timor ODDyssey a multi-media experience that is revelling, poignant and hilarious, described by the Capital Times as compelling, funny and a testament to the Kiwi shell be right spirit.
absolutely LOVED YOUR "Eating The Dog" show! It was hilarious and so good to see NZ history in such a captivating way! Ever thought of teaching History?haha I think NCEA would improve greatly if the curriculum was based on your show
