Consuming two or more soft drinks per week increased the risk of developing pancreatic cancer by nearly two-fold compared to individuals who did not consume soft drinks, according to a report authored by Mark Pereira, Ph.D.

Repeat your study with colas sweetened with cane sugar and your results will be completely different. High fructose corn syrup is the cause here.
Examine data pre HFCS and you will see what I mean.
