Please stop talking shit , morceli lost at 27 years in 1997 old and it was the end of his carrier ,it must someone younger who will take it over , at this time when el gerouj beat morceli ,he was just 23 years old el gerouj .this sport end at 26 years or most 27 years .because is the hardest sport
@MrWakethesheeple i think you said it perfectly. Morceli did have a more explosive kick, but Hichams endurance was awesome. I personally feel Morceli's kick made him a little more versatile as he could win off a slow pace and a fast pace, and didnt have the aid of teamates in major championships. But each was a phenomenal athlete and in my opinion the two best 1500m runners in history, each with a claim to the top spot.
freakin beautiful running. wish i could find Morceli's race in Rieti, Italy somewhere online. he beat a world record that had been held for 7 years, and that was the year before this race.
@bigglkhasser321 this is a sport mate. you win or lose.. in addition to this, morceli did not intend to trip guerrouj in the race. things happen at a faster pace than what you might think. elguerrouj took over the scenes of 1500m and the mile when morceli was at the end of his career.
@bejakabyle I Dont thinK sO => Bcz gerrouj win 2 Gold medals in Jo 2004 at 30 years :) :)
