Weird Al Yankovic on KPNX-TV's "Finn & Friends" - Phoenix, AZ, July 17, 1985

From my voluminous personal archive of 80s video, here's a super-rare interview with Weird Al Yankovic on a local Phoenix TV show called "Finn & Friends", on July 17, 1985. The show was hosted by KPNX weatherman Pat Finn, who later went on to host game shows like "The Joker's Wild", "Shop 'Til You Drop", "The Big Spin" and others. Al was promoting "Dare To Be Stupid" and his appearance at the Arizona State Fair. Fun Fact: I'm actually on this show (in a drastically different incarnation) during the Q&A segment...around the 9:10 mark, looking for some much-needed career advice. The station naturally misspelled "Weird" as "Wierd"...gotta love that Arizona education system. Due to YouTube time limits I had to clip some awesome KPNX promos for future Finn & Friends shows including "the controversy surrounding Jai Alai" and an appearance by Joanne Worley.

@caitbrennan: Thank you so much for your generosity! I would LOVE to receive a DVD of this! My videotape got erased over a few days after the episode aired, so I hadn't seen the video since then. Do you have the rest of the episode with the Chiquita banana lady? I remember them giving the audience the frozen Chiquita juice pops during the commercial break, which was a really nice surprise. How can I get you my information? I'd be happy to provide a blank DVD as well. Thank you so much!
