The main theme of this talk appears to be America's state of denial, yet West himself engages in and perpetuates a state of denial among African Americans. Practically every tribe in Africa was imperialistic, moving in on one another's territory, killing each other off or later sparing the vanquished so as to be used as commodity in the slave trade. Not a single attack was undertaken in Africa to free slaves kept in coastal forts. How liberating it would be to acknowledge this painful history.
