What you can't take on airplanes. Seriously, though, if you need this, you probably shouldn't fly. Maybe take a bus, or a train. Scratch that, drive, so you don't hurt anybody.

Virgin just started flying out of FLL last month and they have the only non-stop flight to SFO. I'm flying Virgin to Macworld Expo in February and it was only $251 round trip. Usually flying there is a whole day ordeal.
The last few trips I've used a Lowepro backpack that will hold both my D90 with an extra lens & my aluminum MacBook.
Always wear shoes you can slip on & off easily for security. If your pass says "SSS" you were randomly picked for extra screening.
