I have the original broadcast. In fact he had made the same jump earlier and didn't crash . But he wasn't a good ski jumper .

I dont know if he was a good jumper or not. But he sure had alot of courage to do what he did. Im sure he was a better jumper than me or you.

There is a another funny story that is related to his famous ski jump crash.Years later Vinko Bogataj was on in his way to do a TV interview on ABC sports when he was involved in a very minor car accident.Responding later to the accident he replied.

"Everytime I'm on ABC,I crash."

Glad to see he is all right. All the kids at school always said he was severely crippled by that wipe out.

Yes, he is. After a brief ski jumping career he took a brush and began painting. I saw some of his nice works a couple of years ago. By the way some of my Slovenian relatives are from his hometown Lesce near Bled Lake.

Well, I'm glad to see that he did get a good jump in that day because all I could remember of him was that terrible fall.
