actually i think this transmission is meant as a joke to worry people. been on as long as i can remember

the buzzer pitch has changed to a higher one and is of a constant note where the old one used to raise in pitch slightly

It's not surprising it's gone, really. They probably didn't intend to ahve a 'buzzer enthusiasts' club springing up when they put it there, for whatever purpose.
