System Of A Down
Album: Hypnotize
Song: Soldier Side
Year: 2005
Lyrics:

Dead man lying on the bottom of the grave.
Wondering when Savior comes
Is he gonna be saved

Maybe You're a sinner into your alternate life
Maybe you're a joker, maybe you deserve to die
They were crying when their sons left
God is wearing black
He's gone so far to find no hope
He's never coming back
They were crying when their sons left
All young men must go
He's come so far to find the truth
He's never going home

Young men standing on the top of their own graves
Wondering when Jesus comes
Are they gonna be saved

Cruelty to the winner, Bishop tells the King his lies
Maybe you're a mourner, maybe you deserve to die
They were crying when their sons left
God is wearing black
He's gone so far to find the hope
He's never coming back
They were crying when their sons left
All young men must go
He's come so far to find no truth
He's never going home

("Welcome" 2x humming)

Welcome to the Soldier Side
Where there's no one here but me
People all grow up to die
There is no one here but me
Welcome to the Soldier Side
Where is no one here but me.
People on the Soldier's Side
There's no one here but me.

  • I wish I'd been able to meet my grandfather. He fought all across Europe in WWII but died of cancers related to his post-war injuries and their related medicines... such a shame that war has become a vacuum for so many human lives. Unneeded deaths and suffering on all sides. RIP.

  • @thunderbluff3 Your leaders killed your friend.

  • @GScarabelot memes, hehe, i like it :D

  • War.....It may be made out to be more, but it always boils down to two things:

    Money, and Power

Our, no, The WORLD'S families are all dying so their governments can get a quick payday

  • @AndrewGilliland greed is behind every war and rag heads refers to the Taliban

  • @thunderbluff3 Thank greed. If another country invaded our country, we'd be the rag heads killing children to defend our homes.

  • Simply The Best !

  • reminds me of my friend who died in Afghanistan thanks to those fucking ragheads this song has more meaning to it then what you think to people who are talking shit bout this song seriously stop this song is personally my favorite soad song \m/

  • @awesomemusic22 Yes it's insanity to the normal human, the majority. Sadly, the minority crave power and control and with that brings 'dumb' people making very dumb decisions on our behalf. But not dumb to them. We gotta long way to go before enough of the majority wrestle the nutters away from power. History would suggest we have not found the formula or collective will to redress the balance towards sanity and maybe even some kind of peace!!?We're all kept 'too busy' !!

  • @poordoll Spot on. I wanted to be a journalist when I was young cos I thought I could go out there and report the truth. My ambitions became dulled being brought up in NIreland during 60's and 70's.Joined the RN & went to Falklands war 1n '82. That's when I confirmed the truth I'd sensed before.Being an active participant in a shooting war. That's real enough. Our press(& likely also every other 'developed nation's too!) are lip servants to leaderships who would see us dead in a heartbeat
