@klf97 i know it doesn't, but for the exposure time i use, it looks the best when it is fully dark.

you can use any lights. i used a pen light, and the light from my ipod screen.

@Varguitas10 as long as you can set a manual exposure, you can do it with any camera and light source, a more focused beam is easier to "write" specific things with

im trying to do this, but all i have is a Cannon Video camera, but it takes still photos to , not sure how to stop the shutter, do you know if its possible for my camera, Cannon Vivixia Hf 100?

the longer exposure, the bigger number apature . . . . i use bulb and paint for about 2 minuites with an apature of about 22. (iso 100)

Thats pretty cool. guys ont bash on me, but what would you set the aperature to to do this?
