  • That little bugger coughed in every single video...ARRRG. Wonderful, thank you so, so much for this upload! :)

  • this guy understands the roots of music....gould just plays nice and shows off a bit...this guy actually catches the 'hit' of this tune as bach no doubt intended...schiff performs it better than gould....but again you godda trust me...this guy is the man.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. It is an important performance and really should be commercially available. For me this a much better performance pianistically that Gould and only Perahia comes close. Though the very different performance by Vladimir Feltsman, who plays the repeats in the most varied way sometimes by playing an octave higher or lower, is probably the closest to how it would have been performed in Bach's time.

  • Many thanks, allthough I don´t think this performance represents Sokolov at his best.

Listening to Sokolo ,I have quite often the feeling that this must be the best pianoplaying I ever have heard. Not so this time alas. Apart from Gould, I think that Charles Rosen is to prefer in this work for instance.

  • i like it but maybe gould's is alittle smoother, this one seems fancy which i like there just different
