Footage from my and Melissa's trip to New York; from May 12 - 19, 2011. Shot on a little Kodak Playsport (way better than a Flip Cam IMO).
Places we visited (as in order as I can remember, not all are shown in video):
Times Square, SoHo, Chinatown & Little Italy, Battery Park, Liberty Island & Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Ground Zero, Pier 17, NBC Studios (slept on the sidewalk for SNL tickets.. didn't get in to the show, but walked around inside), Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock, Museum of Modern Art, Nintendo World, Lego Land, FAO Schwartz (and most of 5th Avenue), Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Joe's Pizza (from Spiderman 2 and Cash Cab), American Museum of Natural History, Coney Island (was rained out, but was a nice train ride..), Central Park, Broadway, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Daily Show (absolutely awesome), and the John Lennon memorial. Whew!
If you're headed up, I highly recommend checking out Barbara Pyle's fantastic apartment on VRBO (http://www.vrbo.com/328764). Also, CityPass is a great investment as we got to do 5 or 6 attractions for the price of two, and the TKTS booth (under the big staircase in Times Square) sells majorly discounted Broadway tickets for the day of - well worth the 15 minute wait in line! Happy travels!
PS. I beg your forgiveness for my excessive abuse of Apple Loops. I couldn't help myself.
Kyle, you've made the mother of all vacation vids. I feel like I was there, right there with you, soaring high above the jagged edges of the Manhattan skyline. 6:16
