i love how if some ones "green" that means they are totally incapable of using any of their motor skills like a normal human.. OKAY HIPPIES ! just move the logs by hand and split by hand use the splitter for the big pieces... you gotta actually go green to be a hippie ...

Ya'll make a good team.
I don't know your market. But can you cut those large chunks shorter? It might be less work to handle. Thats the way I cut large dia. wood. It's more pieces to handle but it saves your back. How do you move those large chunks to where you are splitting them?

We're not selling the wood, just using it ourselves. We cut the logs and haul them to spots near our buildings, then buck and split on the spot. We do sometimes cut them smaller--probably should have in the example shown in the video--part of the problem for this worker was that the large round was a bit downhill from the machine. Also, the worker could have called for help from the woman pictured...

Great set up,But i'm suprised that your wood spliter seems a bit undersised.

We rarely see such large pieces of wood. The splitter does fine with most wood we gather.

A firewood processor would be far too costly at our scale.
