  • I'm not sure if they changed the display on this particular model, the PW-CT-04, or if they have replaced it with the following: In February 2010 they are coming out with a new model, the Planet Waves Tru-Strobe Pedal Tuner. It doesn't have the red and green colors, but some people may prefer the look. It has an orangish backlight and a black digital note in the display. I will be curious to know what people think of the differences

  • pktunes - I think I ran into your 'cell phone interference type noise' a couple times. I'm not sure if it's the pedal though. It could be a ground problem, or it could be something else. I know if I use some pedals near uv lights, sometimes my gear picks up a buzz. Anyone else experience interferance from the pedal? I'm curious if anyone else has experience this problem.

  • Hey Joe you have a good eye. That is an Agile AL-3000 in the background. I agree. An incredible deal for the price. The triple binding and maple top are awesome. I didn't even have to adjust the setup. I did a review on the Agile on the guitar2ner blog

  • juan carlos abadia ?? OMG

  • mine never came with a case boo me

  • man you look like there is a gun in your face:) but i know for sure you got money from PW

  • When I hook this one up with my pedalpower and turn it on, the amp starts to sound in a high frequency.. When i turn on my other pedals (Marshall OD, Artec SE-ADL, cry wah) the sound intensifies.. its kinda loud too, it would never work on a gig.. the pedalpower is a Harley Benton powersupply.. does anybody have the same problem?

  • nice it don't have the screw lika a boss??? (if you screw it tight you dont lose it....)

I wish it had the screw, this plastic thing break very easily!! (like mine) and you cant close it anymore...

heard it happins to a lot of people who owns this pedal.

  • @nalfala123 mine too, and that sucks big time

  • What is accuracy of this tuner ? Is it the same as Tru Strobe tuners have?

  • Had one, worked great and was built like a brick. I sure hope PW fixed that crappy plastic latch for the battery compartment. Within a few weeks of gigging, it was the first thing to break, though not a big deal, I hope they look into it with the newest tuner. Then a few months ago I started getting interference like crazy, in both bypass and out positions. Now the thing lights up but doesn't recognize any noise from my guitar. 100 dollar paperweight and wouldn't buy again.

  • just called PW (Daddario) but got the VM. I think I know why i'm all screwed up here: the tuner in THIS video has a NICE LED display, but it is NOT a true STROBE tuner, just a chromatic tuner with a strobe SIMULATION display. The non-pedal PW STROBE tuner also had super bright LED displays, but they chose to use a shity LED (liguid crystal display) for the strobe pedal....BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! did i get it right, anyone? (not my opinion, but the analysis).

  • yeah, most placed have them listed as 'on order' right now. it is an LCD display that is horrible compared to the bright LED display, and i won't buy one! so if i can get the older version i may buy it now, or IMO Planet Waves made a big mistake and they can keep their downgraded garbage & i'll buy elsewhere.
