A start-to-finish look at one of my latest projects, constructed from tagboard and paperclay.

First things first: I know I should stop using Windows Movie Maker. It sucks. I know. When I'm mentally rested and feel inclined to tackle learning another program, I will.

Sorry about the jarring light transition in one section. I was trying to improve the lighting so you could see the project better but I went kind of overboard. -_-

  • Thanks but what are the dimension for this pauldron please ?

  • @Hisharas It was about 12" long from neck to bottom tip and about 11" wide.

  • wow damn. that looks very good. it''s the only piece i need to complete my Cloud Strife cosplay, but i can't seem to get the pauldron made. tried different materials, a lot of different ways to use them, and none seem to work.

any way, i think i'm gonna try and do what you did right here. maybe i'll succeed this time

  • @Drekman1 Good luck. Check out the links at my blog for more tutorials if you need further help. ^_^

  • What's the name of the musics in this video?

  • Check the description of this video for information on music. (Can't tell you the titles of the songs, but I do know who did them and where his music can be found.)

  • @theproplady thanks !

  • Your foot must have been numb after that lol

  • Very nice work, thanks for the video

  • really cool, you do exceptional work

  • @theproplady : NICE VID !!! where did you get the wolf ornament ??

  • I posted this on your blog, but I thought I'd ask here too.

Your tutorial is amazing, but I am having one problem: making the pattern. I've spent over an hour rewatching your video and trying to make the pattern, but I can't get mine to look anywhere close to yours. In the video it is pretty difficult to see how you are cutting it. Is there anyway you could maybe describe how you did it or put up a picture of what the original cut-out shape should look like? Thank you for your time :)

  • No matter how many times I see this, it never ceases to amaze me. Makes me wanna get out there and make my own armor for cosplay and such! Unfortunately, there's a lack of crafting materials at where I live.. :(
