A Giant needs a good deal of exercise, as do the Standards. For living in an apartment I'd say get either a Mini or a Standard. Mini if you dont plan on exercising the dog much.

@humanparadox I definitely would suggest you maybe get a Miniature as they do require a good deal of exercise. My Giant is O.K for a day or two but if you dont give her some exercise she goes nuts, ha, ha.

I am interested in a Giant Schnauzer but I have an apartment. If i exercise him/her, do you think it is ok??

is she an american variation of the breed? i have 2 kannel club bred giant schnautzers and they have a rougher coun, and less flufy.
