Ok so I understand why the video resolution is so low but why is it in such a weird format? why is it so wide?
-
@jmosler9 why it is at min 240 res? because they cant make the sensor any bigger in the camera or it would fry from all of that data being shoved through the processor. That is why slo mo cameras show this stuff in puny file sizes because that is all they can handle. But I am sure the next thing will be engineering a full frame chip that can handle the data going through it. Full frame full res slo mo. I am sure it is coming in consumer grade cameras

what i don't understand here is why the quality of this video is the minimum 240.

cool :)

@LooneyM3 gets forced lower at higher fps check the spec sheet

dont forget... this is at 30fps (I think...) u can slow it down even more in a movie editing program (it just wont be as smooth...) then u can record at 600fps to have better resolution but slow it down crazily =P

if higher you put FPS , the smaller the vid . so ive noticed on the videos.. can you keep it at regular size?

@halcncod: You're referring to the Specialised Imaging Ltd. offerings.
I know I'm wasting my time since your post is probably just a troll comment but the fundamental difference is:
The Casio shoots 300/600/1200FPS, as well as full HD still shots, and full HD video all in one package for $999 US, while the Specialised camera shoots 200 million frames per second for a cost of *hundreds of thousands of dollars.*
Also, you, as an average consumer, can probably only rent them, not purchase them.
Your a fool, just because there is something better in the world doesn't mean somethings not good. It's like saying Nikons aren't good cameras because they aren't the Hubble space telescope.

Depends on what you're trying to film... slow motion movies requires lots and lots of lighting.
