Recorded October 9, October 10, and October 11, 2011 (day 23, 24, 25). A snapshot at some of the communal facilities and activities in the Occupy Wall Street encampment at Zuccotti/Liberty Plaza/Liberty Park.
The community space include the People's Library, a kitchen and food prep area, information and outreach desk, a closed off media and press area, a shrine/meditation area, the occupy wall street drum circle, sanitation, garbage disposal, composting and recycling, legal observers, and an arts and crafts area. Part of the arts include building a giant symbolic megaphone out of paper mache, and sewing a giant American flag. A barber, and notary public were spotted in the crowd as well.
Library, Shrine, and Kitchen footage Oct 9
Arts & Craft, Media footage Oct 10
OWS Drum Circle, Grey water system, etc. footage Oct 11
cowbell and dancing.
Every time an OWS encampment is disbanded, the authorities find mounds upon mounds of trash and debris. these people living in the parks and streets for weeks, months, etc. are embarrassingly contradicting their own messages they place on garbage cans.
The OWS movement in my state is beginning to be frowned-upon. Some were arrested because their paper "art" was threatening the local wildlife.

The occupy wall street movement started in new york city on september 2011( 9/11) 10 years after 911..panic 10 years ago...now asking for help just like people do when they dial 911..its like its all meant to happen like that..due to people choosing? certain dates for things to happen. statistically a call for help by the people shouldnt just randomly happen on 911 again in the exact same city.

What I don't understand is these so called protesters are letting the police treat them like that? There are far more protesters than police and it would not have to be violent to detain those police - especially when they are being violent themselves. Detain the police. Refuse to be beaten. If you see someone being beaten stand with your fellow protestors and STOP THEM. Get yourselves some of those plastic cuffs and detain them so they can not be violent towards yourself or others RESIST!!

What Hypocrites, just about everything that they have came from the corporations that they are protesting! The best part of this video was the capitalist pig with the money jar collecting evil profits for work performed! These Useful Idiots should protest him for selling those Overpriced silk screened T shirts, how dare he sell a product that the people need to protest properly! What is this country coming too with so many greedy capitalist pigs making money off of the poor Useful Idiots!!LOL

Starting frame 2.00 there is a man smoking around small children. Is that safe? Does Al Gore approve of this? Isn't the smoker exposing that child to second hand smoke? Isn't he expanding his carbon footprint unnecessarily? Aren't they killing trees with all the protest signs. Isn't the paint on the protest signs giving off toxic fumes that will hurt our precious planet? When they leave all their trash behind for someone else to clean up, doesn't that hurt the environment? I'm just saying.......

@BostonMtnSyndicate Is there an invisible fence around AR?

@utimmer4300 THANKS for taking the time to read whatever you did. Glad we're on the same side. I understand why you challenged the quote. Have a good night!

@utimmer4300 Now aside from that, in my home state of Arkansas, walmart, has manipulated wages and tax rates in this state since it's success in the 60's. This state only has a population of 2.9 million. It's not too hard for the worlds largest retailer, one of the largest corporations in the world to manipulate legislative processes here. "If eastern Arkansas were a third world nation, it would probably receive more federal funding." - Bill Clinton. People in my state are lucky to earn 7.25/HR.

@BostonMtnSyndicate So, long story short... Abolish the Federal Reserve. OK, I'm with you. I was just hoping that you weren't trying to construe Jefferson's words as a warning against capitalism, as many in this video certainly would.
utimmer4300 4 months ago
@utimmer4300 Does that summarize it for you? Have you been watching the news for the last three years about all of the forclosures? Did you know someone that lost their home? Have you watched in the past two years how the stock market does well for a period and then does a record breaking drop? Have you not seen news reports about how these very companies control the retirement funds and such for police departments, F.D., EMT, state employees? @utimmer4300 Banks grow so big that when they can no longer sustain from conducting bad business or selling the debt to a subsidiary that is not on the books, they pose a major threat to housing, jobs, the economy, the reputation of clients (people). It's much more of a risk to lose AIG than your local "liberty first on the corner", although it still effects people, it doesn't effect millions. Since banking is a free market enterprise supported by the fed, it won't be readilyIDENTIFIEDasTHEenemy

@utimmer4300 Stop issuing reserve notes from the fed, count wealth by how productive you are (creating products) or precious metals. Put the power in the hands of the people. Not the accumulators.

@utimmer4300 Vacant houses occupied by banks rather than foreign or domestic armies. If we allow banks to control our currency they will inflate and deflate in order to establish means to create derivatives. A way to generate revenue from transferring money, or selling financial products, yet create no actual products. Self serving. In a time when complicated and hard were the norm, our ancestors fought for everything.

@BostonMtnSyndicate By all means, I would love to hear your interpretation of this quote as it relates to our current situation.

look at these idiots. smoking big business cigs, wearing big business clothes, drinking big business drinks, writing on big business paper, eating off of big business paper plates and out of big business pans, using big business condiments, eating big business canned and dry foods, using big business trash bags and cardboard boxes... JEEZ, the list just goes on and on and on.

"Banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency first by inflation then by deflation the banks and corporations that will grow up around will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." -Thomas Jefferson
