I am building one of these now in an electric version. Just waiting on the retract servo ($60 - ouch). How do you find the retracts hold up on grass/dirt/uneven surfaces?

thank you for your help. Is this plane nice and easy to fly, and often does it tipstall?

It flys much like a sport plane. But it can and will tipstall if you slow it down to much or take off with insuficient speed. See the video her titled "H9 Spitfire carsh on takeoff" to see what it looks like to take off before getting enough speed.
