From the May 6, 1970 episode of The Johnny Cash Show. A great, little-known song and a playful performance of it. Also included, the show's trademark opening.

  • WHATS THE NAME OF THE LAST SONG (NOT "ONE MORE RIDE" THE ONE RIGHT BEFORE THAT: "ON A DARK STORMY NIGHT...")

  • @shoesize15w I believe it's "Casey Jones Last Ride." But I could be wrong...

  • @shoesize15w It's called "The WRECK of the OLD 97" based on a TRUE story, I think.

I KNOW the Song "CASEY JONES" IS based on a true story; a 25 year old Engineer , wrecked in 1906 when he was running 80-90 MPH & came around a bend & the passenger train that was supposed to have gone thru beforeJones, was dead on the rails ahead,

Like the OLd 97 ,TONS of steel going 90 MPH absolutely destroyed both trains & it was heard many miles away.

  • @shoesize15w it's a cover he did called "wreck of number 9" :-D

  • @abargle yeah tht aint it but thanks anyways

  • @mintedscott no no the one thats starts :on a dark stormy night. not a star was in sight." it starts fter wreck of 97.

  • @shoesize15w wreck of old 97

  • The manliest of the men.

  • @shoesize15w The title is "The Wreck of the Number Nine".
