I love Josh Grovan, but I don't like her voice

Sarah is so PLASTIC!

From the moment Sarah started singing I knew that was the time she had that throat surgery because her voice was ,how to say it ,not complete.like she couldn't hit the notes she usually does .still it is a great performance and I love Sarah

The slower the song, the more pronounced the vibrato will tend to be; the song also seems to be in a lower key.

there is such a thing as to much vibrato

Take a back seat Josh. This song is Sarah's.

During this time Sarah just was through a vocal surgery. During her Harem era she did tour and promot so much that her voice was damaged. you can clearly hear, if you are a true fan, that recordings after Harem are diffrent. Her voice is not as it used to be. Perhaps time and ageing has played a part in it aswell.

very wonderfully sung, by both persons. for those who don't like how sarah sang it, that's actually how a lot of female opera singers sing, with that much vibrato. it might not be as awesome as you think it should be, but considering her age and all, she still has a beautiful voice. as for josh, he was born to sing opera. the most amazing part is how he isn't even really trying to use the full potential of his voice. if this is him not trying fully, i can't imagine how amazing he'd be if he did.

Sarah's former success went to her head... Sorry, there'r only 15mins of fame, so I have heard.

I find it sad how Josh Groban is so like being Raoul and trying to connect to Sarah while Sarah isn't even looking at him...
I really feel that Sarah could've tried harder, or changed her voice style to something other than the wavering, weird way she sings it. Josh is over there, giving his heart to the music as always, but I feel like she isn't.

@twiwonder This song is hers; Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote this specifically for her. She knows how it's supposed to be sung. She's singing it like it was meant to be because she was one of its originators. It is valid to say she doesn't sound as pure or bright as she used to, but it's been two decades since she sang it as the original Christine.
She doesn't have this wobbling vibrato in many of her other live performances at this time, which means she deliberately sang it this way here.
