Robert Falcon Scott 1911-1912 Memorial Mount Wise Devenport Plymouth
The Diaries of Robert Falcon Scott South Pole 1911-1912
We took risks,
We new we took them,
Things have come out against us,
And therefore,
We have no cause for complaint,
But bow to the will of providence,
Determined still to do our best,
To the last,
Had we lived,
I should have had a tale to tell,
Of the hardihood,
Endurance, and courage of my companions,
Which would have stirred?
Heart of all Englishman,
These rough notes and our dead bodies must tell the tale
In the face off adversity and death, Life is about taking risks and facing the consequences.
It makes a man or woman stand out from the crowed, and helps the person and society progress.
Scott's diaries can be read at the Monument memorial at Mount Wise Davenport Plymouth UK. 100 years ohm after the faithful adventure.
