Kayaking the Musconetcong River

The Musconetcong is a small class 1 -2 river in New Jersey, nothing really exciting but since this section ( Penwell to Asbury) is about 5 minutes from my house it makes a fun little afternoon paddle after work.

@pagansnorider Ive been paddling it for a while too, never see anyone either. I'm actually doing it tomorrow ( 4/2) around 2 or 3 PM with a friend or two, if your around maybe we will run into each other. Probably putting in down by Hackettstown and taking out in Asbury.

Paddling the whole river sounds like fun, maybe I'll get a few friends together and try that one weekend this summer. The longest stretch I did was from Hackettstown to Asbury one day when it was really high..that was a nice 4 or 5 hour trip as I recall.

Wow looks like a fun river, little bit of rapids, generally fast current and some nice scenery. Maybe I'll do it myself some time.
