The Ferrett, author of Magicthegathering's "Serious Fun," gets together with his friend Josh to point out the highs and lows of Morningtide's multiplayer cards!
Wow, I need to join LJ or something and rant about anime, Ferrett. I can't believe this, this videos been out for like two weeks and you've already got freaking eleventy thousand views. *sigh* And btw, whoever said there's no competition on YT, I'm sorry I have to disagree, YT is one big competition, it's fun, but it really is very competitive. That's why there's all those rankings for categories, like #1 comedian or guru, etc etc
Don't really care about Magic, don't play, but I read Ferrett's LJ regularly, so I'm just here to critique. Basic production values are pretty basic, but that's OK. Need to get better miking for clearer, crisper audio. Ferrett projects well, but Josh is too laid back and hard to hear clearly or understand in many instances. Having his own mic or getting a pzm mic close to both of you might help.
I'm impressed.....I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though. It's a good thing because I'm happy to see a video style medium, expecially from someone like the Ferret. But it's a bad thing because it's competition for me...then again the Ferret was three times my plot base since, since....ever, so, ya good job Ferret!
You cannot Rend Flesh Chameleon Colossus even with Mycosynth Lattice in play. Rend Flesh destroys non-spirit creatures and the changeling effect means it is a spirit. Rend Spirit would work if it was not black.
Great video. Liked it a lot. Really, I can't find anything to complain about, I even think you're being a bit harsh on yourselves at the end of the written article. Thank you for your work.
Good job on the video, I think it turned out quite well. Two main (related) issues I had though: the card images while you were talking were too small to read the cards, and the dead time while you showed cards full screen. Personally, I think it would have been better to show the all the cards you were commenting on (and referencing) full screen while you were talking about them, as it would have made the video flow smoother.
Rend Flesh couldn't kill Chameleon Colossus even if it didn't have protection from black.

I don't believe there is competition on youtube. If you make good videos then people will watch your videos.

Reveillark.
Think "reveille," like a military wake-up.
Which is strangely accurate, considering how many kithkin soldiers that weird thing's gonna reanimate in standard. Or white weenie.
