Create your personal QR-Code business cards with this free online generator on http://tec-it.com - This business card maker creates 2d-barcode business cards (VCARD, MECARD).

Creating business cards is free and easy: just select a predefined business card template, enter your contact data, generate a PDF, print it and scan the bar codes with your the camera scanner or barcode reader of your smart phone (Android, iPhone, Windows Mobile, ...).

VOILA - using this technology you will never need to key in contacts or URLs manually! Most camera-equipped smart phones or handsets are able to decode the QR-Code (meCard, vCard, URL 2D barcodes) on these business cards.

Common (and usually free) camera scanners and bar code reader applications are i-nigma, beetagg, QuickMark, NeoReader, UpCode, Snappr, Camclic, 2d sense, codescan, zxing, optiscan, semacode etc.

  • No more 2D codes, Bye Bye 2D Codes.

A new addressing technology called the Keyword Identifier(developed by Oyokey Inc.) performs better than any 2D code. It gives customers, users a better experience and retains, enhances a company brand without introducing any other brand and the same Keyword Identifier can work via typing, scanning or speaking. The Keyword Identifier has all the important features of these 2D codes and much much more. Check out Keyword Identifier at Blogspot.

  • @nda211 You compare apples (2D codes, bar-codes) to oranges (some form of an URI).

  • I can't get the mecards to put my phone number in the code

  • @karenr0823 Thanks for your comment! Please try a "vCard" format as well. It depends on the software decoder which format works best. Awaiting your feedback!

  • thanks !

  • @ASAF612 You are welcome! The online barcode generator barcode.tec-it.com may also be helpful. It creates meCard, vCard, Dacebook, Linkedin, Twitter, SMS, Wifi, ... 2D codes.

  • Hello all, it is also beneficial to know who is scanning the QR barcode that is on your business card. To this end, a program at barcodeconnections. com allows you to track:

    1. How many people scan your QR code. (Total number and unique scans)

    2. Where people scan your barcode. (The geographic location)

    3. When people scan your barcode. (Hour by hour, in realtime)

We've found it has been very useful for folks, and we encourage you to check Barcode Connections out.
