kGKSDR software has an AM detector, this is useful for looking and listening to a rogue signal on 40m. A recent arrival, is it a harmonic of a Broadcast station or a Pirate.
Maybe the guy wires on the local Medium Wave mast are re-radiating the Pop Station.
If it continues I shall have to endure the clatter long enough to listen for a station ident.
Post Script
OK, I endured, it is our local Gold Commercial station on 1.557MHz. So how does it get to 40m? I could not do the maths?
However I have recently started to run my Low Power beacon on 10.14070. That mast is only 1.5Km away, giving a strong signal which can mix by Brute Force. Now do the maths.

  • Yes sure. But do read - About this Video - More.

It turned out to be an interesting 'in house' interference problem and made the SDR so usefull for finding the cause.

  • Instead of SDR, a "biig gun" - of 2kW or so, with a little bit of splatter and transmitting 24hours a day RTTY or SSTV should be used for these intruders!
