I'm not talking about rounding stuff up or down, but about the huge difference you credit to a percent's worth of difference. Noone is reading 79 as good and 80 as very good, they are reading it as 79/100 and 80/100. I think you are confusing letter grades and scales with increments of 10% with a scale that is far more granular. Would 79.9999999999 be good while 80.0 very good?

Yes, 7 would be good, 8 very good. However you are reviewing on a scale of presumably 0-100, meaning the difference between 79 and 80 is so small it doesn't even register. We are talking about a difference of 1%, not of an entire grade.

In this case, why would there even exist anything between a 76-80. It's a small difference yes, but I just can't round up the score because of this. The games good, just not very good, it's very close but it is just not quite there.

You can't give it an 8 so you give it a 7.9? Geez, talk about high granularity, you are actually talking about a 1% difference here.

7 is good. 8 is Very Good. Due to the shortcomings the game has I can't give it a very good 8 score so I gave it the next best thing, a 7.9
