THIS IS A COMMENTARY ON THE BREAKDOWN OF THE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND INTERNATIONAL NAVISTAR DUE TO THE 6.0 DEBACLE.

HOPEFULLY THIS CLIP GIVES SOME INSIGHT AS TO THE DIFFICULTIES AND TRIBULATIONS THAT THESE COMPANIES FACED AND ULTIMATELY DESTROYED ONE OF THE MOST PROFITABLE PARTNERSHIPS IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY.

  • Am I clear of egr and head gasket nightmares with a 2007 6.0

  • @tahoeboatbeast No the 2007 is still vulnerable. Egr can still gum up in any 6.0.

  • @windsofestrangement I liken it to a John Madden football play. It turned out about the same for FMC and Navistar.

  • @Richardgitrdone I will take that as a compliment. The scribbling is there to accentuate the chaos between Ford and Navistar. What a mess.

  • This guy is a mechanic genuis, but i wish he would work on cummins instead of them gas guzzeling strokes :(

  • @fordsaresick your better off buying a diesel. If you want to convert find a wrecked 6.0 that has all the engine and transmission components with all the wiring and computer hardware. It will be expensive and a headache to do!

  • I wonder if anything ever happened between Isuzu and GM with the Duramax in the lb7 injectors and the lly with the head gaskets? Really enjoy the knowledge you posses with the powerstroke! I love the diesel engine world and drive a 2008 duramax LMM.

  • Can you please help me? I have a 05 for f250 its the 5.4l v8 gas its my dads i like the way it looks and buying a used 6.0 is a way out of my budget (18,000). I want to convert it to diesel is there anyway to do that?

  • Looking forward to the day I can bring my 2005 F350 6.0L into your shop for a bulletproofing makeover!!! It's too bad that Ford and partners didn't do the job right back in the day. Diesels rule over in Europe and you'd think they'd have put together a better package...but then again, I'm not always sure a turbo is the way to go. If I were the boss, I'd put in a belt driven supercharger for low end torque and an big turbo for needed high end power, like the Lancia Delta S4 or the VW TSI.
